The endorsement contract was a bid for Avant Claire to lace into the African market using Nadia because she appealed to their target market better than any other African celebrity based on their research.
But at the point of signing the contract, the Diary of Imogen actress and producer, realized that the Claire product contained compounds of hydroquinone, a chemical used for skin whitening and bleaching, and she promptly ‘rejected the deal because she does not want to endorse anything that would be harmful to her people’
